The new Bridget Jones novel, Mad About the Boy, is going to be unveiled in a couple of weeks and as huge Bridget fans, we can’t wait.
This book finds Bridget in London, where she struggles to cope with ‘the skinny jean, the disastrous email cc, total lack of Twitter followers, and TVs that need 90 buttons and three remotes to simply turn on’.
There has been a 14-year gap between this and the last book so we look forward to pouring a glass of Lambrini on a cold winters night and curling up to read about Bridget’s latest trials and tribulations.
What we really want to know is if, like Fielding’s previous successes, if this book will be made into a film. And if so, whether Hugh Grant, Colin Firth or a new leading man will be cast to play her love interest (or potentially the father of her suspected new baby)? Our votes are on Colin but we’d love to hear what you think over on our facebook page.
Either way, we will be sure to be pre-ordering a copy ahead of the release date on 10th October.
